The National Arterial Highway System will hopefully invite a return to some regional flavor along our Nation's highways as evidenced by this 'Valley of Virginia' sign bridge. By including such features as the Lewes - Cape May Ferry and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in the National System, our most interesting road features are celebrated.

Toll Roads such as the New Jersey Turnpike may be fully included. Interstate 95 will no longer have a 'missing section' as it will be signed up the turnpike, recognizing the travel patterns of most drivers.
